Wholesale and foreign trade management clerks purchase goods at home and abroad, sell them on to trade, crafts, industry and the service sector and offer customer and product-related services. In doing so, they use various procurement and sales channels, in particular the Internet. They observe and analyze the market, determine and calculate prices, advise customers comprehensively on the range of goods and services, carry out marketing measures tailored to the target group and process payment transactions in cooperation with other parties involved. They plan, monitor and optimize purchasing, logistics and sales processes, control the flow of data and goods across economic levels and handle electronic business processes while observing data protection and data security. They evaluate operational key figures, derive consequences for the company, work on projects across companies and take sustainability aspects into account in their commercial activities.
